A modern Romeo & Juliet story!

A modern Romeo & Juliet story!

Every modern love story must be as fiery as Romeo’s and Juliet’s one. That’s why we decided to bring you the story of a client who came into our shop to buy the watch that represented the symbol of her love. We suggested posting it on our blog therefore she accepted wholeheartedly and was happy that she would share her love story with the whole world.

-I met Andy in Verona, Italy, right on the balcony of Romeo and Juliet. I had known him for a long time since we were high school classmates, but then life happened, and we both went our separate ways. I went to Milan to study architecture, but somehow I had gotten to know that he and another good friend of mine were studying math at a university in Rome. How did we meet? Well, my roommate is crazy about Shakespeare for she is a literature lecturer, so one day she asked me to accompany her to Verona just to take a closer look at the famous Shakespearean balcony. It was Sunday, I had spent an overwhelming week and I thought to myself, why not? We arrived later than expected because of my friend’s obsession with photography, but I must admit that the road was nice. As soon as we arrived I decided to take a photo of the balcony, and as much as I am against photos, you can't blame me, the architecture was amazing. But, without even shooting the first photo, a girl who didn’t look more than 17 suddenly came out of nowhere, and instead of capturing the balcony view, I only saw her on my phone. Without even realizing, I frowned in annoyance and she came apologizing immediately. After her, the person snapping her photo run to us, who as you can imagine was Andy. He had always been positive and funny, but when I saw him after a decade, I barely remembered him. Actually, it was he the one who realized who I was, after a good minute I must admit. Time changes people! Yet, despite his outward appearance, he was the same kind and charismatic guy. He was there for his little sister because she had heard about that balcony from a friend, and after the visit, they would go to a nearby restaurant. He invited us, too, and we agreed. I know! It's a very big coincidence! As time flowed by, we started having multiple dates again and again,  One day he invited me to dinner at a nice restaurant in Milano  and  on our way back he proposed. But as you might be thinking right now! Instead of the ring, he had chosen a watch with leather straps to my like, beautifully wrapped, and with an engraving that meant so much more than a simple ring to me. The watch was called "Romeo e Giulietta" from a brand called Enzo Attini, and on its back was carved the balcony in Verona. It looked so unreal! See, now I always carry it with me, just like a ring. When we get to think of it now, we silently laugh at the coincidences of life. So, at Christmas time, I came to purchase the same watch for him. There is no Juliet without Romeo, right?
